Role

Lead Business Analyst

Delivery responsibility

Demand clarification, prioritisation, functional specifications, development and test support, go-live, stabilisation and ongoing production support.

Critical complexity

The interfaces were delivered while legacy backends were being replaced progressively, requiring old and new product and system structures to coexist throughout implementation.

Outcome

Working digital services for premium calculation, quotations, application documents, signed submissions, document and portfolio queries, status information and digital insurance confirmations. Eligible cases can proceed through straight-through processing without manual intervention.

02

Banking · Data & reporting

A shared data foundation for group reporting

Senior business analysis, requirements engineering and business data modelling in a multi-year strategic programme serving controlling, credit risk, regulatory reporting and individual BI needs.

Nearly 6 years in the programmeApprox. 1,000 defined business termsAround 20 distinct data deliveriesMultiple reporting domains and group entities

Role

Senior Business Analyst · Requirements Engineer · Business Data Modeler

Delivery responsibility

Business glossary and conceptual data model, sourcing specifications, workshops, data validation, support for reporting teams and local entities, implementation clarification, SQL analysis and successive consumer go-lives.

Critical complexity

Several fundamentally different modelling and architecture approaches had already been attempted. Scope, budget and timeline changed repeatedly while the need for a trusted central reporting foundation remained critical.

Outcome

A productive, commonly understood and reusable enterprise data foundation introduced successively for controlling, credit risk, regulatory reporting and further BI requirements — after a go-live many stakeholders no longer believed would happen.

03

Banking · Capital markets & custody

Two broker/custodian operating modelsMultiple markets grouped by custodianSWIFT-based instruction, status and confirmation flowsSuccessive market go-lives in 2012

Role

Business Analyst · Requirements Engineer · Integration Lead

Delivery responsibility

End-to-end process analysis, interface and message-flow specifications, vendor coordination, test design, defect resolution and successive go-lives with an international software producer.

Critical complexity

Different cultures, working patterns, availability windows and decision paths had to be translated into clear requirements and reliable delivery. Standard functionality, customisation and viable production scope required disciplined separation.

Outcome

Productive integration for both operating models, with relevant settlement and clearing messages generated by the platform and eligible transactions processed with substantially reduced manual intervention. Corporate Actions remained outside the successful production scope.
